The first of three Biblical motivations for giving we look at this stewardship season is giving out of a sense of discipline. Considering the Scriptural command to tithe, Fr. Houk makes the points that giving ten percent is a God-given discipline that is generous, fair, and a prescription for our spiritual well-being.
